Daley fires back at 3M CEO for Obama criticism

In an opinion piece for the Financial Times, White House chief of staff Bill Daley challenged George Buckley's assertion that Obama policies could drive manufacturers overseas.

Buckley told the Financial Times in an article Sunday that Obama's instincts are "Robin Hood-esque." The criticism came as Obama has increased overtures to business.

The White House typically does not pick public fights with individual critics. But Daley wrote: "The stakes are too high to give credence to the kind of comments Mr. Buckley made this week."

Daley argued that Obama wants to ease regulations and corporate tax rates as well as boost trade and education.
