Celebrity and Beatles Artist – Shannon to Appear at Gallery Show to Support ALS Center

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 04, 2011 - SHANNON (MacDonald) is proud to announce her LIVE appearance at 'That's Entertainment: Hollywood's Golden Age aston martin ', a special group show at the Ripe Art gallery, presented by Mick DuRussel, to benefit the Eleanor and Lou Gehrig ALS Research Center at Columbia University in NYC.  An opening reception will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 from 5-8 pm featuring artist, SHANNON, doing a LIVE painting of Beatles guitarist George Harrison that is commissioned to hang in The Cavern Clu dodge b in Liverpool.

Shannon is widely regarded as The World's Greatest Beatles Artist, a title bestowed upon her by the Lord Mayor of Li buick verpool in 1998. She has toured around the world with just an Iwata Airbrush and Electric Eraser, painting at live events to showcase her Beatles artwork. Over the years, Shannon has expanded her portfolio to include portraits of other Hollywood figures such as: Lucille Ball, Sylvester Stallone, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis and James Dean.  These paintings will be on display throughout the course of the show.

'That's Entertainment: Hollywood's Golden Age' will be a rare opportunity to view and buy original art work from many local and celebrity artists, including several paintings by the late Tony Curtis. The show will open August 6th and run through August 27th 2011.
